Ashby Gentry Stars on DSCENE Magazine’s May 2024 Cover

Ashby Gentry is a name that you must remember right now. He's an amazing talker and extremely talented and promising actor. The actor is now sweeping the screens of Netflix with the character of Alex on My Life with the Walter Boys inspired by the well-known novel from Ali Novak. The show follows fifteen-year-old Jackie Howard after losing her family members in a tragic accident. Jackie has left behind her home at home in New York and moves to Colorado to be closer to her mother Katherine.

I let that stimulus, idea or thing to be a way of exploring. I'm of the opinion that press and publicity and even notoriety and reception are similar in that way. For me, it is merely a concept I'm trying to understand. It's fun, which is the word I would use to describe the entire scenario.

Let's discuss the show. You're Alex with a little bit or a romance triangle that's happening between Nikki and your character's twin brother Cole. What was it like acting that way?

It's fascinating since when you consider how the show's story unfolds it's very much the story of a love triangle isn't it? It's the main issue this season. Who can predict what it might become in the future? I think in the overall view at the show's overall structure the love triangle isn't necessarily the most important conflict. The main problem is the fact that Nikki has lost her entire family, and she's trying to get her bearings back and create the family she lost in a different situation. in spite of that loss, I believe there's a common perception of the show, that she's opting to get involved in a love triangle.

I believe this is the reason why the show was able to take off quickly, as everyone enjoys romantic shows for teens and love triangles today regardless of age. are.

I'm sure you're right, but I believe that the reason for it is because these things occur to us, but we don't have the ability to prevent them, and they can occur to you at any time. There are surely romance triangles between the senior citizens in the elderly home, ashby gentry and maybe they should create a show about it. The show was called "The Golden Bachelor, I do not know if you've seen it.

I've been there! I've never been in a love-triangle and I'm not sure if I would like to be, to be truthful.

But they are certain are all over the place!

It's funny how people immediately place us against the Summer that I Was Pretty even though there are thousands of TV shows. Did you not see an unlovely love triangle in Never Have We Ever? There are a lot of love triangles in the world. The Vampire Diaries, Twilight. I believe that's the only thing that is similar between our show and theirs. It is not possible to discuss our show without mentioning their show.

I'm sure there will be comparisons with other shows. It's unavoidable. Let's discuss your character, Alex. I've heard that you enjoy Star Wars and Lord of the Rings and Alex is too. Are there any additional similarities you share with your character?

I'm sure that we are very deliberate about our actions and are almost towards neuroticism, Alex can be very particular about things. There's a scene that we go bowling together and he's very specific about the lane and time. We must be there and I've booked us an exact lane just like at 2:30, so that when we arrive we'll be able to spend exactly 45 minutes at the arcade before we can start. He's extremely particular about Jackie and how the way he treats his guests. I can totally relate to the way he treats his customers.

I'll be able to remember your words whenever I look at the scene. What makes you think that viewers are drawn to Alex?

Alex isn't very attractive. This is open to debate. If you go online, there's a debate on this. However, Alex isn't always attractive in his posts. Alex isn't attractive because of what he does, but it's how his appearance. It's his manner of conduct and his appearance that make him a perfect candidate for Jackie. I believe that viewers will appreciate Alex because of the way that he is concerned, due to his way of looking at her, his manner of speaking with her, due to the actions he takes and the decisions made by him. I believe that's one reason to admire Alex and I believe there's some merit to his writing.

I'm not trying to be a snob, but I am on team Alex. Tell me about your most memorable moment from filming?

I think is, generally speaking, how we bond on the set. It's evident to everyone that we cherish our relationship quite a bit. The moment that sticks in the mind of me is this day that we were filming an episode. The scene was very short and we were all leaving the house in the early morning to get ready for chores and we're in our clothes for chores and our chore clothes were dirty.

It sounds like a lot of enjoyable! Did you take any special steps to prepare yourself for the job?

It was a truly memorable event for me. The way I went about it was everything that I could could think of doing to help Alex I did. Much of it involves the basis of any role as an actor in the script. This means you'll be reading the script repeatedly and rereading the lines repeatedly. I'm doing various tasks I do every time I work on every project, such as analyzing the script, the characters and scenes, as well as the motives and so on. In addition, I'm reading The Lord of the Rings.

What does this project differ from the other project you were working on before? Do You Fear of In The Night?

I'm very happy about this project since it was such a good introduction on Walter Boys. In other words I'm a newbie. I'm a complete novice as well. Do You Fear of the Dark was such a happy accident since I was offered the job and spent 3 weeks within the Dominican Republic. It was a wonderful experience but also an invaluable experience being able to learn how to work on location, learning to work with a director getting comfortable being on location for the very first time and it so seemed like a warm-up in many different ways. It was a great opportunity in comparison to Walter Boys, however, that's not meant to be negative because I definitely did not think of it as such. I didn't realize that I was doing a great job.

This is the most important thing, that it's enjoyable! It's hard to imagine what fear and the joy you feel with this whole launch.

I've just crossed 100,000. It's hard to even comprehend the magnitude of that. There are so many people it's difficult to imagine. If you think about all the people that could be in the room, it could seem overwhelming, but it's impossible to think about it, so it doesn't seem real in the same way. I'm not sure what it means. It's nothing short of terrifying, to be real. I'm not sure what I could do to be prepared for the way it will feel.

Let's discuss the show. What was it like acting that way?

It's fascinating because if you look at the format the show takes, it's very much a love triangle tale you know? This is the main conflict this season. Who is sure what the outcome will be in the near future? I believe that and holistically looking at the show's overall structure the love triangle isn't necessarily the most important conflict. The main problem is the fact that Nikki has lost her entire family, and she's learning to regain her sense of direction and establish the family she lost in a different situation. despite the tragedy. think there's a common perception regarding the show, that she's opting to participate in a love triangle. To me, that's not true. It's a distorted projection. Love isn't an option that someone chooses, it's something which occurs to you. Much like the tragic event that befell her. Therefore, the idea that she's picking the wrong partner instead of mourning her loved ones totally false.

The Summer When I Turned Pretty when I first heard about it.

We're all compared to them quite often. I'm sure they're like elements particularly the bizarre coincidence that they're brothers. I'm thinking that one is punched by the bonfire, or something else. I think they're both very distinct shows, but. The only thing they have in common with their show is their love triangle which, once again is an intriguing and fun issue to investigate. I believe it is vastly superior in terms of scale.

Two worlds come together!

It's a bit absurd, wouldn't it? A cross-over episode.

I'm thinking this is the reason why the show aired fast, what age you are.

I'm sure you're right, but I believe the reason behind it is because these things occur to us and we're not responsible for them, and they could happen to you at any time. There's no doubt that there are relationships between seniors at the old people's home, and maybe they should create a show about it. There was a show, the Golden Bachelor, I do not know if you've heard of it.

However, they are all over the place!

It's hilarious that people immediately place us in the same category as "The Summer That I was Pretty even though there are thousands of TV shows. Didn't there exist a love triangle on Never Have We Ever? There are a lot of love triangles in the world. The Vampire Diaries, Twilight. I think that's the only commonality between our show and theirs. However, it's impossible to discuss our show in isolation from theirs.

I'm sure there will be comparisons with other shows. It's unavoidable. Let's discuss your character, Alex. I've read that you are a fan of Star Wars and Lord of the Rings and Alex is too. Are there any additional similarities you share with your character?

I'll keep your words in mind when I see the movie. What makes you think that viewers are drawn to Alex?

Alex isn't pretty. It's open to debate. If you go online, there's a debate over this. However, Alex isn't always attractive in his posts. Alex isn't attractive because of his attributes, it's how his appearance. It's the way he behaves and his style that makes him a good candidate for Jackie. I believe that viewers will love him for his caring attitude by his way of looking at her, his manner of speaking with her, due to his actions and the decisions that he makes.

It's not my intention to be biased, however I am team Alex. Tell me your most memorable moment from filming?

I believe that generally, it's the way we have bonded on the set. I believe that people are able to see that we cherish one another very much. I believe the first moment that sticks out to me is the day we were filming the first episode. The scene was very brief, in which we all left the house in the early morning to get ready for chores. So, we were wearing our work clothing and the chore clothes were dirty. While we were filming this scene, we noticed a baseball bat positioned in one corner.

It sounds like a lot of enjoyable! Did you take any special steps to get ready for your part?

It was a truly memorable moment for me. The way I went about it was everything that I could could think of doing to help Alex I did. Much of it involves the fundamentals of any job as an actor in the script. That's why I'm reading the script repeatedly and reading the dialogue repeatedly. I'm doing various tasks that I do in any kind of project, such as looking at the script, the characters' motives and so on. In addition, I'm reading The Lord of the Rings. I also watched Star Wars. Star Wars movies.

You have put a lot into. I've never heard of that sort of commitment before!

For me it's my full-time job. Even on days when I was off I would be working all the day. I would rest whenever I was able to and would get out and enjoy the company of my cast since I believe that helps to keep the work going. The goal of life is having fun with it. If I'm not enjoying my job what's the reason I take the time to do it? However, I did work all day long. I was scared. I wasn't sure what to do, and I was awash with enormous obligation that it was proper to do as much as was possible according to my view.

What makes this project feel distinct from a previous project you previously worked on called Do You Fear of the Night?

I'm extremely thankful for this project as it was a great primer to Walter Boys. As I mentioned I'm a newbie. I'm still a beginner as well. Do You Fear of the Dark was such a happy accident since I was offered the job and was in the country for about three months in the Dominican Republic.

I've never met pretension nor arrogance. Everybody's had their arms wide and were eager to get started. I'm hoping I can keep going with this good fortune in the near future, because it makes me think back in awe of all these events.

What attracted you to the part and how did you feel about auditioning for it?

I did a screen-test in my bedroom. I thought auditioning for this project was fascinating. It was very straightforward but it wasn't thrilling. It never was as exciting as it was. I walked in, I performed the scene, and then I went out. It never seemed like anyone was overly enthusiastic about my performance.

You've said that you're always on set, but what do you do when not working?

This is a tricky issue. As an entrepreneur, I think of everything as work. If you're an actor even going to the movies can be work. It's difficult to distinguish since acting is a expression of the essence. The art is being human being. If we weren't filming in Calgary we'd do various things. It's funny. We didn't intend to do this at first however we were a bit manner in the way we were hanging out. The Thanksgiving show, we had an evening meal at my home and everyone brought a dish to share and we shared our reasons for being thankful and other things.

My beliefs have always proved to be true until now.

When it happens I'll come back and speak to your about the matter. I believe we should establish the date! [Laughs]

Let's do it! What's one of your best pieces of advice you follow daily?

Always think that the universe is in your favor since you won't be able to. It's a matter of assumption. If you think your universe's with you You look for opportunities. If you believe that the universe is out to kill you, you search for curses and it's better to search for opportunities. I believe it's in everyone's best interest to believe that the events are happening for them, instead of occurring to them. Even if this isn't the case, you must continue to believe that this is the scenario. It's a good strategy.

Absolutely! I'm sure that you'll be going to LA tomorrow, which is very exciting. What's next of you in the near future?

I'm currently working on a movie that's due out named Mooch which I was part of. It's an indie film was shot during the outbreak. I don't know about when it's due to be released however the director Jeff has been extremely positive about Walter Boys' success. Walter Boys' success. He's extremely enthusiastic over the series and we have conversations every now and then, but I've yet to confront him and inquire "When's the movie coming out, Jeff?" I don't know when they'll announce the movie.

There'll be plenty of exciting happenings to you.

Well, fingers crossed. It's crucial to be able to create excitement in the offseason, too. I strive to make my things as exciting as I can even if I don't have all the things however, when it happens it's crazy. This is exactly what I'm experiencing right now.
