Levi's Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans Review
I'm bringing something different to share with you this
review of jeans Five pairs of jeans all in one! I was spending a few days on
the United States over the winter and as I was browsing at Nordstrom I came
across the jeans that caught my attention.
They were jeans from Levi's, the Ribcage Straight Ankle leg
jeans in the Samba Done wash (above). They were at the end of the line when I
noticed the pair, and I think I have tried 15 pairs of denim at this point, and
I was a bit tired, but I did give them a try since I usually don't like a wider
legs. However that I've been into more wide straight legs, or vintage fittings
lately, much more than skinny jeans. I had no idea I'd be saying that, ha ha!
But here's the secret I fell in love with Levi's Ricbage
Straight Ankle so much that I bought five different washes on Levi's site (with
30 percent off - I'll discuss that in detail) and am now going to review them
all for you! As you can imagine, each wash is different to the other washes and
you can discover more about the experience I had when I tried five sets that
were Levi's Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans!
These were the shoes that I was captivated by in Nordstrom.
I was awed by the wash. very vintage and appealing. When I saw the cut I was
enthralled by these! It's the Levi's Ribcage Straight Ankle is slim in the hips
and thigh like you see, and comes with the highest rise and straight leg.
The best part with these pants is they have an inseam of
either a 29 or 27 inch length, which makes it perfect for taller women as well!
I'm 5'4 and the length of 27 inches hits me at the ankles.
The denim component of this pair is comprised of 84 percent
cotton, 15% organically-grown cotton and 11% elastane making them much more
flexible than you'd imagine! They come with the classic button fly, with a
leather patches on their back and the Levi's classic signature stitching as
well as a red tab on the pockets in the back.
This is the pair I kept after purchasing them, as I believed
they were the perfect vintage style that actually feel comfy. I put on my usual
size of 27 inches in these and they fitted perfect all around! There was no
back waist gapping with the pair! This particular pair can be purchased here.
Levi's Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans in Cloud Over - $98
This is the second pair I decided to keep which is The Cloud
Over wash. It's stunning white with warmer undertones, so it appears to be the
light cream, rather than a bright blue-toned white. It's absolutely stunning
and I am in love with it!
Again, I tested these in a waist size 27 with a 27 inch
inseam, and they're just right. They're perfect for me everywhere They're
extremely comfortable, and I don't have any gaps in my waist or other issues
typical of high-rise jeans. Similar to the measurements of the Samba Done
above, these are the exact same measurements.
The composition of the fabric is different however the
particular pair is composed of 97 92% cotton and 2% polyester and one percent
elastic. They're extremely stretchy and comfortable to wear. You can see an
outfit from mine on Instagram that's featured above. Get the jeans below.
Levi's Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans in Destructed Medium Indigo
They were incredibly flexible and extremely soft. They just
fit little bit larger throughout, and large around the waist. They weren't an
ideal straight Ribcage Ankle size I was used to. The wash was very cool
however, I really liked the distressed design however, they did not work for
me, since my waist is rather small. I'm sure these will be suitable for many
other people, however. Get the jeans below.
Levi's Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans in Worn in Black
I am in love with these pair of Levi's Ribcage Straight
Ankle jeans as well! The pair Worn in Black wash is exactly what it says - a
worn-in, faded set of dark jeans. They recall me of vintage denim, in actual
fact.
With the same size (27x27) and identical measurements, these
were perfect for me. They were a bit larger in the legs when in comparison to
the Samba Done and Cloud Over washes but they were pretty good all over! The
reason why I didn't staying with them was because I was smitten by the classic
blue and white as they seemed too heavy for me with a broad leg fitting like
this. I'm not very tall and the dark denim seemed a bit overpowering.
The denim content of this pair was made up of 99 percent
cotton and 11% Elastane. It didn't contain Tencell Lyocell I'm guessing that's
why there was no gap around the waist, but they also did not contain polyester,
which could be the reason why they were higher in the legs! Purchase the jeans
below.
Levi's Ribcage Ankle Jeans in Light Indigo
The final pair of shoes is an Indigo light wash. I wore the
size 27x27 once more and found that they had identical measurements, but like
the distressed pair they have a lot of gaping around the waist. I inspected the
label on the fabric and discovered that the denim blend of the item comprises
79% cotton and 21 percent Tencel Lyocell. Then I figured out why they were huge
at the waist however, they were a good fit everywhere else.
I'm not certain what it is that I like about this blend of
fabrics however others who reviewed it from the Levi's website also said the
same issue - any pair that has Tencel Lyocell inside did not fit properly. This
is unfortunate because the wash is extremely nice. I love the vintage look it
had and also that they seem to fit more slimly in the thighs, but with a waist
that big the jeans weren't designed to be. Get this pair here.
My Overall Conclusion
I absolutely like these Levi's Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans!
I like the vintage look and feel to them is stunning and pair well perfectlywith heeled ankle boots. They fit true to size, and the range of inseam lengths
are perfect for me. Some washes come with the option of a 31 inch inseam for
those who are very tall!
One thing I learned from having tried 5 pairs is don't
choose those which have Tencel Lyocell or unless you have a better hips to
waist ratio. Go for the cotton or polyester blend with elastane and they'll fit
just fine if you do not! You can see this by my pictures.
